Programs

What does Dofitek for Schools do?+

Dofitek for Schools is a school technology implementation program by Dofitek. We help NGOs, foundations, churches, diaspora organizations, schools, and development agencies equip Haitian schools with computer labs and Student Tech Kits — including installation, training, documentation, and 90 days of technical support.

Where do you operate?+

Across Haiti, with our base of operations in Tabarre 44 #4, zone Chetalain Tours, Port-au-Prince.

Who can benefit from your programs?+

Schools across Haiti, and individual students reached through Student Tech Kits at partner schools.

Is Dofitek a real company?+

Yes. Dofitek is a registered technology company with a dedicated technical and administrative team in Haiti. Partners are welcome to visit our offices.

Is Dofitek a charity?+

No. Dofitek for Schools is not a public charity and does not collect donations directly from the public. We are the local implementation partner. Funding partners — NGOs, foundations, churches, diaspora groups, schools, and development agencies — manage their own fundraising, grants, or organizational budgets.

Packages

What packages are available?+

A full computer lab (Basic US$5,000 / Standard US$10,000 / VIP US$17,000) or Student Tech Kits (estimated US$299 per student). Partners can fund multiple kits, multiple labs, or hybrid programs.

How do we start a project with Dofitek?+

Reach out via the Request Proposal form on the home page or email schools@dofitekhaiti.com. Our team will scope the project, recommend the right package, and confirm the school.

Can we choose the school that benefits?+

Yes. Partners typically nominate the beneficiary school. When asked, we can also recommend a vetted school based on need, room conditions, electricity, and student population.

Will we receive proof of how the project funds were used?+

Yes. Every partner receives photos, an equipment inventory, an installation summary, training documentation, and a 90-day support report.

Is this an investment or a profit-sharing program?+

No. Dofitek for Schools is a school technology implementation program, not an investment offer, fundraising campaign, or commercial sponsorship. Partners do not receive financial returns — they receive a fully delivered school technology project with transparent reporting.

Execution

Who installs the labs?+

Our in-house technical team based in Haiti. We do not outsource installation.

How long does it take from project approval to handover?+

Typically 3–6 weeks depending on equipment availability and school readiness.

What's included in an installation?+

Equipment selection, preparation in our workshop, on-site installation, networking, surge protection, software setup, and staff training.

Are the computers new or refurbished?+

Modern, fully functional name-brand machines (Dell, HP, Lenovo or equivalent). Specific configurations depend on availability and budget.

Can partners visit the office or the schools?+

Yes. Partners are welcome at our Tabarre office by appointment and at beneficiary schools when safety conditions allow.

Reporting

Do you stay in touch after the project is delivered?+

Yes. Partners receive structured updates during execution and periodic impact updates afterward. Many also subscribe to our monthly School Tech newsletter.

What is the School Tech newsletter?+

A monthly newsletter sharing project updates, school stories, and our progress advancing technology in Haitian schools.

What happens after the 90-day support window?+

We remain reachable for questions, paid maintenance, or future upgrades. Many partners renew support to extend the impact.

Can we get a report for our board or members?+

Yes. We can produce a branded summary report tailored for foundations, NGOs, churches, or diaspora organizations.
